Rugby School Hosts Nicole Lantz and Stan X founder Professor Seung Kim

On Wednesday, Rugby School welcomed Nicole Lantz from Lawrenceville and Professor Seung Kim, a cancer researcher from Stanford University and founder of the StanX programme to the School to explore our new lab.

Rugby School joined the StanX programme in September, becoming the second school in the UK to participate. Both guests delivered inspiring lectures to students. Nicole spoke to F Block (Year 9), while Professor Kim addressed XX (Year 13) and students with an interest in biology.

As part of the visit, our StanX students provided a tour of the School’s fly lab, where they learned more about Professor Kim’s remarkable research and discoveries in cancer and diabetes, whilst sharing their own experiences with research.
